Engineering is all around us. It shapes the way we live and work. And it holds the key to tackling so many of the world’s biggest challenges – like climate change, energy, healthcare and poverty.
Manchester was the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. Now, we need your help to create a new home for engineering in Manchester. Here, the brightest engineers will work together to find solutions to some of the most pressing issues facing humanity.
Your gift will help transform the way we think about science and engineering education. The new Manchester Engineering Campus will be the largest of its kind in the UK – housing more than 7,000 students and 1,000 staff. It will be a hub of innovation and discovery, bringing together students from our different engineering disciplines under one roof.
Right at the heart of the facility will be a makerspace – a place for experiments and collaboration.
Here, Manchester engineers will be free to explore complex ideas. Away from the constraints of the traditional classroom, they’ll become strong, independent learners. They’ll develop the skills they need to become the research leaders of the future.
Engineering at Manchester is for everybody. By opening up our makerspace to local schools and colleges, we’ll inspire people who think that engineering isn’t for them. Together, we’ll support people from non-traditional routes into engineering.
This incredible new facility will only be possible with your support. So please make a gift today, and help create the engineering leaders of the future, here in Manchester.
